Scared Without a Portable Generator
The news report from the night before already had me scared. Bad storms had been foretasted and last month we lost power for a full three days. After that storm I purchased two new portable generators for sale to be certain that if it ever occurred again we would be ready. Problem was, I couldn’t recall where I had stored them and the storm was already on us.
I have got to discover the portable generator. Everyone get to the bottom floor, I’ll be right there, as soon as I locate it and get it going. Ok honey, please hurry. (kisses for everyone) Jogging towards the storage I could feel the tornado going this way. Off in the distance, brown and purple, weird reds and greens twirling together. It was just after two in the afternoon and it was literally pitch black over there.
I fumbled through the thing that was flung everywhere, mumbling under my breath about how I should sustain a cleaner storage. All I could think was, please protect my kids. Ah there it is,the portable generator. Now where is the gas can, I know it’s not empty, I just filled it Sunday, and I haven’t used it since then. Oh wait the whatchamacallit should be full. Yes it is.
Fantastic! okay, now yank the cord, and plug this power strip into it and we should be good. This electric start portable generator is nice, I am so ecstatic I finally got this thing. (It roars to life) Ok, plug this in. Whala! Ok, where is the main house plug? There it is. Plug it in. Nice! Alright then, back to the family!
