Preventing Stretch Marks

The thought of having stretch marks can bother any person. Most people affiliate them with pregnancy, but stretch marks are also caused by weightlifting, weight gain and sometimes puberty, things that can cause the epidermis to stretch somewhat quickly.

If you already have striae you’re probably searching for a means to get rid of stretch marks. While getting rid of them altogether is difficult unless you undergo surgery, it is possible to reduce the look of them.

It can also create a greater probability of creating stretch marks, and making it harder to lose the additional weight after the baby is born.

If you are wary of getting stretch marks, whether during pregnancy or before starting a weightlifting routine, your best defense is prevention. It’s best to prepare and use a healing stretch mark cream for stretch mark prevention. Stopping them from developing is more effective than working to remove them after they have already appeared.
